Product · PulseX · the clinic
The one app your practiceruns on.
PulseX brings Cliniko to your phone, every part of it, and then goes a long way past it. It listens in the room, plans your drive, writes your notes and letters, chases the patients who went quiet, and remembers how you like things done.
You treat people. PulseX runs everything around them.
Diary, patients, notes, invoices, forms and recalls, on your phone.
Speak in the room. The note is written by the time you stand up.
Drive times, turnarounds, clinic or home visit. Worked out for you.
Your habits, your wording, your usual week. Without filling in a single form.
The starting point
Cliniko, in your pocket.
Cliniko is brilliant at a desk. You do not live at a desk. PulseX connects to your own Cliniko account and gives you the whole thing on your phone: your diary, your patients, treatment notes, invoices, forms, recalls and the clinic details you already have set up.
Change something in PulseX and it is changed in Cliniko. Change it in Cliniko and PulseX shows it straight away. It keeps the wording and the feel you already know, so there is nothing new to learn on day one.
That is where it starts. Everything below is what Cliniko was never built to do.
A day with PulseX
It is already working before you are.
Here is what an ordinary Thursday looks like.
Your morning note
A short briefing on your phone. Who is in, who needs what before they arrive, which notes are still unwritten from yesterday, and where the day is tight.
Told when to leave
You have a home visit first. PulseX works out the real drive time, tells you when to set off, and warns you if the turnaround to your next patient will not work.
You just talk
Put the phone down and treat. PulseX listens to the session and drafts the note in your own template, checked against what was actually said. Your hands and eyes stay on the patient.
Booked by voice
“Book Sarah in for next Tuesday afternoon.” Done. It finds the slot that suits your week and puts it in the diary.
Your 2pm is coming up
A quick nudge asks if the patient has arrived. One tap and your day carries on without you touching a screen.
Letters written
Referral to a consultant. Report for an insurer. Letter to a GP. Discharge summary. PulseX drafts it from the record, in your voice, ready for you to read and send.
Loose ends tied
Missed appointments followed up. Patients who have gone quiet brought back to your attention. Your own dentist appointment, and your mum’s birthday on Saturday, sitting in the same diary.
Beyond Cliniko
A chief of staff for your practice.
Not a scribe. Not a booking app. One assistant that sees your whole working life and keeps it moving.
Sessions turn into notes
Record the session, get a finished note in your own Cliniko template. Every point is checked against what was said. If your template cannot be used, you still get a clean plain session note.
Someone who knows your practice
Ask it anything about your day, your patients or your week. It shows you the notes still to write, the invoices waiting, the people who need a call, and what to do first.
Referrals, reports, discharge
Referral letters, insurer reports, GP letters and discharge summaries drafted from the record in your own style. You read it, change what you like, and it is done.
Nobody falls through
Missed appointments get a follow-up. Patients who have gone quiet come back to your attention before they drift away for good.
Say it, and it is booked
“Book an appointment with Mr Patel on Friday.” PulseX finds the right slot and puts it in the diary while you carry on with your day.
A diary that fills itself well
It watches your diary, spots gaps and tells you the moment a slot frees up, so a cancellation becomes a booked session instead of lost income.
Real drive times
Proper travel times between visits, when to leave, and a clear warning when a turnaround is too tight to be realistic.
It works out where you are
PulseX knows your usual week of clinic days and visit days and plans around it. It only asks you when it genuinely cannot tell.
One diary for all of it
Private appointments, family birthdays, your own doctor. Kept in PulseX alongside your working day, and never mixed into your patients’ records.
The right reminder, right time
A morning briefing. A heads-up when a slot opens. A tap-to-confirm when your patient arrives. Quiet when nothing needs you, and it never puts a patient’s name in a notification.
It picks up how you work
Your phrasing, your habits, the shape of your week. PulseX learns it as you use it. Nobody has to fill in a questionnaire, and the longer you use it the more it feels like yours.
See it. Change it. Delete it.
Everything PulseX has learned about how you work is visible in one place. Edit any of it, or wipe it, whenever you like.
Why clinicians keep it
It gives you back the hours and the attention.
The evening notes. The Sunday diary check. The drive-time maths. The letters that sit on the pile. Most of a clinician’s working week is not treatment. PulseX takes that part and handles it, so the time you spend with a patient is actually with the patient.
You are the clinician, the receptionist, the biller and the diary manager. PulseX covers the jobs you never trained for.
Every clinician signs in with their own email and gets an assistant that learns their way of working, on top of the clinic’s shared Cliniko account.
If your day involves a car, PulseX plans the whole thing for you: when to leave, how long it takes, and whether the next patient will be kept waiting.
Made for patient data
Locked, private, yours.
No passwords
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Nothing to remember and nothing to leak.
Face ID or fingerprint
Close the app and it locks. Open it again and it asks for your face or finger. Switch away for a moment and it lets you straight back in.
No names on your lock screen
Reminders tell you what you need to know without ever showing a patient’s name.
Get the app
Download PulseX.
Free to download, with a 3-day free trial. After that, PulseX Premium is a simple monthly subscription, billed by Google Play or the App Store. It works with any Cliniko account.
Connect PulseX to your Cliniko account

- Open your details in Cliniko. Open your name at the top right, then choose “My info”.
- Create an API key. Scroll to “Manage API keys” and choose “Add API key”. Copy the key.
- Paste it into PulseX. Paste the key into “Cliniko API key”.
- Tap Connect. PulseX checks the key with Cliniko and you are straight in.
Your records stay in Cliniko. PulseX reads them live. Your key is stored encrypted. You can disconnect any time from More in the app, and you can remove the key in Cliniko to cut it off everywhere.
